1) Summary (Plain English)

Always Grateful is designed to be privacy-friendly:

  • No login / no account

  • Your entries and photos are stored locally on your device

  • You can export your data (JSON/text) and import it back

  • We do not receive your journal entries or photos during normal app use

  • No paid features; no payment data is collected by us

2) Information We Collect

A) Journal entries and photos (on-device only)

Your gratitude entries and any attached images are stored and processed on your device. We do not collect or upload this content to our servers as part of normal operation.

B) Account information

We do not collect usernames, passwords, or account identifiers because the App has no login.

C) Analytics / tracking

We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers in the App.

D) Support communications

If you email birthdaygirl0121@gmail.com, we receive:

  • your email address,

  • the content of your message,

  • any attachments you choose to send (which may include exports or screenshots).

3) How We Use Information

  • On-device content: used only locally to provide the App features (create entries, attach photos, show history, export/import).

  • Support emails: used only to respond to you, troubleshoot issues, and improve the App based on feedback.

4) Exporting, Importing, and Sharing

When you export your data (JSON or text), the exported file may contain personal information depending on what you wrote and the images you include.

If you store or share exported files using third-party services (email, messaging, cloud drives, device backups), those third parties process your data under their own privacy policies. We do not control third-party services.

5) Local Storage, Deletion, and Backups

Your data is stored locally on your device. You can delete entries within the App. Uninstalling the App typically removes local app data, subject to OS behavior.

Your device may back up app data and/or export files depending on your settings (e.g., iCloud/Google backup). We do not control backup services and cannot delete backups for you.

6) Permissions

The App may request access to:

  • Camera (to take photos you choose to attach)

  • Photos/Media (to select images you choose to attach)

  • Files/Storage (to export or import data)

The App uses these permissions only to provide the requested features.

7) Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

We do not share your on-device journal entries or photos because we do not receive them during normal use.

We may disclose limited information only if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security—primarily related to support emails if you contact us.

8) Security

Because your data is stored locally, your privacy depends largely on device security. We recommend using a device passcode/biometrics and keeping your OS updated.

Support emails are handled by email infrastructure and may not be fully secure end-to-end.

9) Children’s Privacy

The App is intended primarily for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If a parent/guardian believes a child has provided personal information to us via support email, they can contact birthdaygirl0121@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it where feasible.

10) Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you.

Because we do not collect your on-device entries/photos, the main personal data we may hold is support correspondence(if you email us). To request deletion of support emails, contact birthdaygirl0121@gmail.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date and make the revised policy available in the App and/or store listing.
