1) Summary (Plain English)

Pause Buddy is designed to be private:

  • No login / no account

  • No ads

  • No analytics SDKs or third-party tracking

  • No transcripts are saved

  • History stores only mode + before/after ratings (local on-device)

  • Voice features may use operating-system speech services if you choose voice responses

  • Subscriptions are processed by Apple/Google (we don’t get your card details)

2) Data We Store (On Your Device Only)

The App stores locally on your device:

  • Session history: date/time, mode used, before rating, after rating

  • Your settings: safety toggles, default mode, voice preferences (if enabled), prompt style/verbosity options

  • Subscription entitlement status (e.g., whether you have access after the free sessions), as needed to unlock features

We do not store any transcripts, lists, or text/voice responses from your grounding exercises.

3) Voice Features (Optional)

A) Text-to-Speech (TTS)

The App may speak prompts using your device’s system text-to-speech.

B) Microphone / Speech-to-Text (only if you enable voice responses)

If you press the mic button, your device may process audio to convert speech to text using OS speech recognition.

Important: Depending on your platform, OS version, and settings, speech recognition may be processed on-device and/or using the operating system provider’s cloud services (Apple/Google). Their policies apply to that processing. We do not operate our own speech-recognition servers.

No transcript storage: Regardless of how speech recognition is performed, the App does not save audio recordings or transcripts as history.

4) What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect as part of normal app use:

  • name, phone number, email (unless you contact support)

  • contacts

  • precise location

  • ad identifiers

  • analytics events via third-party SDKs

  • your spoken responses or transcripts

  • your prompt-by-prompt answers

5) Purchases and Subscriptions

After the first 10 sessions, access may require a subscription.

  • Purchases are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play.

  • We do not receive your full payment information.

  • We may receive a basic entitlement signal (e.g., “subscription active”) to unlock access.

6) Support Emails

If you email birthdaygirl0121@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to respond and troubleshoot. We may retain support emails for a reasonable period. You can request deletion of support correspondence by emailing us.

7) Sharing and Selling

We do not sell personal information.

We do not share your history/session data because it stays on your device and is not uploaded to us.

8) Data Retention and Deletion

  • You can clear history inside the App (recommended to include a “Clear History” button).

  • Uninstalling the App typically removes local app data, subject to OS behavior.

  • Device backups (iCloud/Google backup) may include app data depending on your settings. We do not control backups.

9) Security

Because data is stored locally, your privacy depends on device security. We recommend device lock (PIN/biometrics) and keeping your OS updated.

Support email is not guaranteed to be end-to-end encrypted.

10) Children’s Privacy

The App is intended primarily for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If a parent/guardian believes a child provided personal data via support email, contact birthdaygirl0121@gmail.comand we will take reasonable steps to delete it where feasible.

11) International Users and Your Rights

The App is available worldwide. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you.

Because we do not collect on-device session content, the primary personal data we may hold is support correspondence(if you contact us). You can request deletion by emailing birthdaygirl0121@gmail.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date and make the revised version available in the App and/or store listing.
