Terms of Service

1) Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent you have authority to bind that organization.
 

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the App.
 

3) What the App Does

SuperSigner allows you to:

  • import PDFs and images from your device,

  • apply a signature and/or simple markups,

  • export/save the signed output.

All document processing and saving is performed locally on your device. We do not provide cloud accounts or document hosting.
 

4) No Legal Advice; No Guarantee of Legal Validity

SuperSigner is a document-editing tool and does not provide legal advice.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • e-signature rules vary by jurisdiction and document type,

  • some documents require identity verification, witnessing, notarization, or specific signing workflows,

  • some recipients may reject electronic signatures or require a specific provider/workflow.

We do not guarantee that a signature created using the App is legally valid, legally enforceable, compliant with any law, or accepted by any third party.
 

5) Your Documents and Responsibility

“User Content” means any document you import (PDF/image), any signature/markups you apply, and any signed output you create.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own or have permission to use the documents you import,

  • you have authority to apply signatures/marks to those documents,

  • you will not use the App to forge signatures, impersonate others, commit fraud, or violate laws,

  • you will comply with any confidentiality obligations relating to the documents.

You are solely responsible for:

  • selecting the correct file,

  • reviewing the output before sending/using it,

  • where and how you store/export/share it,

  • ensuring compliance with laws applicable to your use case.
     

6) Local-Only Storage; Device Security

The App saves files locally (to locations you choose via your device’s file system).

You are responsible for securing your device and any backups. If someone accesses your unlocked device or your device backups, they may access your documents.
 

7) One-Time Purchase; No Guarantee of Ongoing Availability

The App is sold as a one-time purchase with lifetime access to the App as provided.

However, you acknowledge:

  • app stores, operating systems, and device changes may impact compatibility,

  • we may update, change, or discontinue the App (or specific features) at any time,

  • “lifetime” refers to the App’s availability as offered, not a guarantee that the App will be supported forever on all future devices/OS versions.
     

8) Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • use the App for unlawful purposes,

  • sign or alter documents without authorization,

  • forge signatures or impersonate others,

  • distribute copyrighted documents without permission,

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass security (except where permitted by law),

  • interfere with the App’s operation.
     

9) Third-Party Services and Sharing

The App may use your device’s system features (file picker, share sheet, printing).

If you export/share a signed document using another app or service (email, messaging, cloud drive, etc.), that third party’s terms and privacy policy apply. We do not control third parties and are not responsible for them.
 

10) Updates and Changes

We may release updates to improve performance, fix bugs, or improve compatibility. Updates may change features or behavior.
 

11) DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND AVAILABILITY.

We do not warrant that:

  • the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free,

  • documents will render correctly in all cases,

  • exports will be error-free or universally compatible,

  • signatures will be legally effective or accepted.
     

12) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

  • WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: (A) THE LEGAL VALIDITY OR ENFORCEABILITY OF ANY SIGNATURE, (B) ANY THIRD PARTY’S REFUSAL TO ACCEPT AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE, (C) ANY DISPUTE ARISING FROM SIGNED DOCUMENTS, (D) ANY DATA LOSS OR EXPOSURE CAUSED BY YOUR DEVICE, OS, BACKUPS, OR THIRD-PARTY APPS/SERVICES USED FOR SHARING.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
(A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP, OR
(B) USD $5 (OR LOCAL-CURRENCY EQUIVALENT), IF LOCAL LAW REQUIRES A MINIMUM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such jurisdictions, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
 

13) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the App, your documents, your signed outputs, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
 

14) Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of [India OR your country/state], and courts located in [City, State] will have exclusive jurisdiction.

Mandatory rights carve-out: Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
 

15) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Effective Date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms where permitted.
